One Mission programs bring help, hope, and support to patients, their siblings, and their parents while they fight childhood cancer. Your sacrifice will bring laughter and fun during treatment to our families as they heal from the emotional and physical burdens of cancer.
Listed below are some important details on fundraising and collecting donations.
Ask people to support your commitment to shave by making a donation in any of the following ways:
Send donors to your online fundraising page, and ask them to click the “Donate” button to give by credit card. They will receive a tax receipt via email and their donation will immediately appear on your fundraising page.
Online donations are the most efficient, but if a donor writes a check, ask them to make it payable to One Mission. Write your name in the memo area. Send checks along with your Donation Form to One Mission monthly. Donations made by check will be reflected in your fundraising total within 7-10 days of receipt. Tax receipts will be issued for gifts of $25 or more if the donor’s email address is supplied.
Thousands of companies match all or a portion of a charitable gift made by an employee. Ask your supporters to check with their Human Resource Departments to find out if their workplace has this kind of program and will help support your fundraising efforts.
Note: One Mission does not accept cash donations. You will need to write one personal check or money order for the total amount of cash donations received and record them on the Donation Form. Have questions? We’re here to help you in any way. Just contact us.
