Create a Buzz – it’s really easy!
Interested in planning a fun event that brings comfort, assistance and support to kids fighting cancer and their families? Then organize your own Buzz Off! This is a great fundraiser for schools, church groups, first responders, sports teams, companies or anyone who wants to gather a number of people together to raise money for a great cause.
Here’s how it works:
Determine the date,
time & place of your Buzz Off
Ask your barber, stylist or friend to man the clippers – you may need several depending on the size of your event!
Come up with a name for your event and set a fundraising goal. Aim high! Most people raise more than they think.
Select “Host A Buzz Off” and you will be registered as the Team Captain and event coordinator. Registration fee is $35 and we’ll send each team member a T-shirt to wear on event day!
Customize your fundraising page
Make it personal and write why you’re holding this event and why people should join. Post photos. Encourage people to donate as well as join your event.
Recruit people to join your event’s team
Email people and ask them to join your event’s team. Explain why you’re shaving and how they should too!
Motivate your event’s team members
Follow-up with members on a regular basis. Ask how their fundraising is going and if they need help. Encourage them to ask friends & family for donations.
Promote your team’s event page and post updates on social media. Share before & after photos.
Helping others is a great way to express gratitude and feel proud of yourself and your accomplishments – SO HAVE FUN!
